Captain's Log - 030919 - Beagle Point

Well it took me a long time, a lot longer than the main fleet due to some malfunctions and quite a lot of distractions, but I made it to Beagle Point. I have to say, I was a little underwhelmed by the system. I believed there was a station there. I spent a long time looking, before landing on Beagle Point 2 to check over my documents. No mention of it whatsoever. One of those things. No idea where I got the wrong idea from, maybe I overheard something at the noodle bar back in Colonia... Anyway, its not about the destination. It's about the journey, and what a journey I had.

Once on the planet I had some repairs to conduct after my unfortunate accident on the last leg, as well as some supplies to gather. So I stayed a while on the surface. It was strange to go to sleep without the engine noise. Planets are always quiet, but this one seemed even more unsettling, being on the fringe of the galaxy. I had COVAS play some white noise which helped me sleep but not by a lot.

Now to plot a course. I want to get back to the bubble reasonably quickly. I'm carrying a lot of exploration data that I don't want to risk, as well as a fair bit of dead weight. Do I really need this ship launched fighter bay? Or the large AMFU? Two little ones would do just fine.

I heard a rumour of a stretch of space with a high concentration of habitable worlds, and its not far out of my way (Well, it is, but it's on this side of the galaxy so..) I'll head off in a few hours... after I soak in the view from the edge.
