The Navcom reckons it'll be only seven more jumps to the edge of the nebular, and I can't wait! This hasn't been my longest trip, but it has definitely been my most grueling and rewarding. I'll scoop and FSS here and move on, waiting around never found new sights after all. Oh, and I was wandering around the cargo hold, and lo and behold, I found a box of cigars! I'll light one up as soon as I reach my destination. Maybe my luck has turned around!

It's been well over a hundred jumps into this journey and I've finally gotten over the loss of the Void Hawk and gotten used to the new ship, the Shadow of the Serpent. It's an Anaconda, and I've done all that I currently can to upgrade its systems. I'm currently landed on a metal rich planet in the Oochont ET-K c11-1 system, running the standard module and hull repairs. God I'd kill for a cigarette right about now. I should have packed more. The view of the nebular I'm heading towards, the Bubble Nebular, isn't anything spectacular just yet, but at least I'm able to make it out with my own eyes now. I'll be there in less than a hundred more jumps, then I can start looking around, see what I see.
