The home of The New Templars, with a religious past tainted by a variety of crimes, the Templars of LTT 3607 disbanded in 3016; some former adherents elected to form a new alliance. They called this alliance 'The New Templars'. After cutting every connection with prior religious tenets, The New Templars now consider themselves an independent group who fight for equality throughout the galaxy. Despite rumours that prior members had participated in some illegal activities in the past, the faction believes they are on the right path now. The New Templars main activities are exploration and trade, but they will defend their system fiercely against any kind of piracy.
