Qieduia Sector

Today marks the end of our week-long survey of the Qieduia. We surveyed 170 star systems between this sector and the Hypheerld Sector. It's been a reasonably prosperous survey, and we've managed to collect a couple billion credits' worth of organic data for Vista Genomics as well as discover dozens of never-before-seen star systems.

We're now heading back to the inhabited Bubble to receive the details of and plan for our next assignment. Union command has informed me that our next survey destination will be the Norma Expanse and the Arcadian Stream. I expect this next survey to take a fair bit longer than a single week, so we will definitely need to resupply before we leave again.

Hypheerld Sector

We've officially begun our survey at the near edge of the Formidine Rift. We're still technically in the Elysian Shore, but the Rift itself has been fairly heavily explored, so we're staying on the near side of the Heart and Soul nebulas, and exploring off to the east side of the well-traveled path between the inhabited Bubble and the Formidine outposts.

We parked the Olaf Koch in Qiedea Sector RG-E c28-6 to begin the expedition. I took runabout Urania east from the carrier about 90 LY, to Qieduia IA-C d14-45, using an economical jump pattern with brown dwarfs and M-type main sequence stars filtered out. IA-C d14-45 was a beautiful multi-star system with two contact-binary pairs. Several of the systems along my route had quite high levels of biodiversity.

After that system, I moved into the Hypheerld sector and recalled the Olaf Koch shortly afterwards. We've parked for the night around Hypheerld Sector YQ-C d40, planet B5, orbiting its only moon. This system had significant biodiversity around its B star (about 233 kLs from the entry point), though further investigation only bore out one biological signal of significant value, a variety of Stratum tectonicus on planet B4.

Nearly every system out here remains unexplored. We're mapping a lot of previously unknown worlds.

Wredguia Sector

We've offloaded our extra stock, topped off on fuel, and set off again. After a couple jumps, we're still in the Wredguia sector, but will be stopping here for the night. It may be a few days before we reach the Eafots sector settlements. The crew have all been doing well so far. I don't expect this expedition to be too taxing on them.

After we get finished with the Eafots settlements, we'll proceed onwards to explore the Formidine Rift. The Rift is on the near side of galaxy's outer rim, and has a somewhat storied past. Rumors of mysteries out in the Formidine Rift have been going around for years, but so far no one's found much. As we're on a simple exobiology survey, however, we're not seeking out trouble and should hopefully be avoided by any Thargoid patrols that may be in the area responsible for the rumors.
