DSSA Perseus Carrier Expedition

Day 3

My first discovery of a new Earth-like world comes in the Droju sector of the Sagittarius Gap, roughly 3,200 LY from Sol.

Droju HD-Z d1-30 is remarkably similar to Sol, albeit more compact and lacking in gas giants. The tenth and final planet is only 5,000 Ls from its young sun.

The extra heat and 30% greater size relative to Sol means the Earth-like world is situated farther from its star, orbiting at a distance of nearly 1,500 Ls as the sixth planet in the system. The days on this planet last twice as long as on Earth, and it completes an orbit in four years, seven weeks.

The similarities extend to other bodies in the system. Like Earth, the sixth planet also has a tidal locked gray moon, where it's very easy to land even a large ship. The seventh planet is a reddish metal world which could pass for a copy of Mars, as a reddish metal world.

The outer two ice worlds are obscured by thick, soupy atmospheres which make them look like perfectly spherical white clouds.

The combined value of the system scan was 8,555,000 credits on board the fleet carrier, which would be 10,693,750 credits at a station in settled space.
