At around 11:00 pm last night, I was away from my flight controls while scooping the nearby star. I almost fell flat onto my bunk when the ship started to shake. As alarms sounded I raced to my controls, confused, knowing that it should be over an hour until I skirted on dangerous proximity to the M class red dwarf glowing nearby. On first glance at my HUD I knew something was awry. I was being interdicted! Who in the galaxy could possibly be out here, so far from civilisation, other than me? Time was not on my side, so I immediately prepared to jump to the next system over without seeing so much as a shadow of my assailant. I spent the rest of the night putting distance between myself and the unknown attacker. I got a very bad feeling about that system, so I made a note of its name, Skaude OX-B b46-2. Perhaps I will return someday, when I am better prepared.
I have been travelling for over a week now towards the Colonia bubble. A few days back CMDR AmberPan received some damage to her ship's internal modules and was forced to turn back so I must continue this journey alone.
On a happier note I have just made the significant discovery of an Earth-like world in a previously unexplored system. I made sure to get closer to the planet in order to scan its surface and most importantly, get some nice pictures.
On my run up to the nebula which would mark my first waypoint, I encountered two Lagrange clouds and scanned the composition of several peculiar metallic structures within them. Not wanting to risk damage to my ship and the possibility of getting lost in the clouds, I moved on after testing only their outermost reaches.
After 4 hours of travel since the beginning of my journey, I rendezvoused with CMDR AmberPan at the Sheron system in the IC 4604 Nebula. A good friend of mine, CMDR AmberPan will accompany me for the rest of the expedition.
In the Sheron system we stopped by the GCS Sarasvati survey megaship before continuing towards our destination.
Today I begin a long journey of around 25,000LY to a rather interesting area of space, filled with near endless black holes. I plan to chart this area in the interest of discovery and with the expectation of riches upon my arrival home. I pray that my journey will not leave me bereft of fuel as my reserves are limited.
