Since leaving Beagle Point, I've had a tricky couple of days crossing The Abyss by a fairly direct route with a 36 ly Beluga. I had to make quite a few uses of 50% FSD boosts in order to make progress; more than once I was wishing I'd brought my DBX with me. But where would have been the challenge in that?

Finally making it across, I made a planned diversion to the Thomaski Memorial. I took a minute's silence, though it was disturbed by NPC Belugas and Orcas jumping in and complaining about cancelled entertainment programmes and the gym being out of use. They were the first ships I've seen since I left the bubble almost two months ago. Still, it's an apt place to pause for thought. My next random stop is Rendez-Vous Point, 551 jumps away, before heading on to Sag A* for the first time.
