We are en route to Sag A* from Colonia, and on the way ran across a trippy nebula surrounding Dumbio YO-A e308. This is the end of our first leg on our trip.
Dad made it LONG before I did, but I finally made it. Now to decide where the next leg of our voyage will be.
What a name for a system. I think it'll be a while until I top this one. I'm gonna stop here for the night, but no visitors!
Let's head back out to Colonia! This will be DILO's first long-range expedition. I'm sure we'll think of a name en route.
Well, I'm not entirely sure, but this might be the first Carbon star I've ever seen. I'm not sure what I was expecting. Something black and glowing maybe. But in reality is has a red color, almost pinkish in the right light.
Having visited Geminga Pulsar, I heard there is a nearby Carbon star worth visiting on the other side of the Beehive Cluster, let's check it out!
On my way to VY Canis Majoris, I stopped by the California Nebula. However, upon arrival I realized that I am running into problems plotting a course to VY Canis Majoris... many of the systems in that area require an unknown permit. Instead, I am going to PSR J0633+1746 to see the Geminga Pulsar.
I am going to from here to VY Canis Majoris, the largest known star... and stop by some nebulae on the way, including Bernard's Loop.
Lame. I got a tip that HD 14947 was a super sweet sight... an O-class star that rotates exceptionally fast. Well, it is an O-class star, but there doesn't seem to be anything immediately remarkable about it. Oh well, on to the next sight!
We've been piddling around the bubble mining Void Opals and engineering ships. I even got rank with the Federation and visited Sol! But I got the itch to go and see something cool, so here I am, in HIP 63835 surrounded by a pile of black holes and various orbiting stars. It's interesting to see a system where stars outnumber planets!
