A rare phenomenon has occurred, predicted by Infernal's own resident astrophysicist, CMDR Solandri. The expected collision of the two moons of the AB planet in the Dryau Ausms KG-Y e3390 system initiated around 20:45 UTC and roughly concluded at 23:30 UTC. Although the two moons did not cross orbits, their paths became so close that at least a quarter of their bodies were entangled. No evidence suggests the planets' surfaces and mass have changed which adds more questions than anything. Is this universe a simulation as many conspiracy theorists stated? Do these moons ignore the known rules of physics of our universe? Commanders who bore witness to this stellar abnormality were baffled by the constant shift of gravity as flight navigation became unreliable and landing operations were impossible to conduct due to the sheer speed of the surface below. The Infernal Expedition's carrier, D-Scan, while observing in orbit, was severely damaged as the two moons grazed the carried, as documented by CMDR Chewcat- no hands were lost. Unfortunately, some who stayed on the surface were lost as rock and ice shattered their ships and srvs. As for this commander, prior to the incident, a haunting feeling overcame me. Either the space-madness or a premonition...by Raxxla's hand I swear I briefly saw a face on the incoming moon, hurtling towards myself and fellow commanders. I immediately jumped back into my DBX and proceeded to document the event from orbit- helpless in hearing the screams of my fellow explorers and comrades in science as two masses crashed into each other. Their sacrifice will not be in vain. We will return back to the bubble with our findings in hopes to better understand this galaxy.
TLDR: After spending 2 weeks using the Neutron Highway without any incidents, I get too close to a neutron star heading to a CG after refitting the 'Conda for mining, got stuck and slammed around by the beam... unable to escape. 7 mil rebuy cost... ouch.
Heading to a system near LP 128-32 to mine for the first time in my career. Outfitted to do some serious mining but actually put a few offensive hardpoints on and hired a pilot for the fighter... should be interesting. Going to a reg RES first and see how that works out. Luckily, if I need to repair or get more limpets, I'm only 3ly from a station. Tell you about my experience later...
Headed out to Colonia to join the Beagle Point Expedition or the Enigma Expedition for Cmdr DoveEnigma13 but with rumors that the Alliance were teaming up with Lakon to make a new mid-sized fighter, the Chieftain?? Oh! I had to get myself back to the bubble. A one-and-a-half day trip back home to Gertrud, honking and scanning every star I super-charged and fueled at netted nearly 6mil- not bad for a nonstop trip. Found a couple undiscovered systems but had little interest in exploring as of late. Perhaps with the new update- with planet surface revamps and variety it'll inspire my explorer side a bit more. In the meantime, might join in on a community goal in the Python for a bit or deck the 'Conda out for passenger missions until 3.0 drops. Epiloso- out.
