(Mandalay)

Currently in Kyloasly DA-A f69 awaiting the two moons, 2b and 2c to 'collide'.
On the way out to Colonia I checked out all the 'Road to Colonia' stations, and the new Chapterhouse systems. I also dropped in on the Conflux Abandoned Settlements (mentioned earlier) and the Skaudai Ancient Ruins.
It's also the first real exploration trip I've done with my relatively new Anaconda. It's taken me three years, but I've finally got one!
...some time later I was joined by Cmdr Klutz and we watched the moon getting closer...
Sacaqawea Space Port marks approximately the half-way point between the bubble and Colonia.
It's nice to dock, repair some of the dents, and admire the awesome view of the nearby ringed gas giant.
I've decided to set out into the black for my first major solo expedition. The ultimate destination is Beagle Point, but I'm going to visit many other places.
The first major point of interest is the Conflux Abandoned Settlements. The Alpha site is on Pru Aescs TY-J a64-1 3 at -66.47/-56.13.
The Beta site is on Pru Aescs HW-S b31-2 CD 1 at -7.2989/-35.9180.
The Gamma site is on Pru Aescs OI-K a64-0 1 a at 64.2/74.4.
The Delta site is on Pru Aescs NC-M d7-192 A 3 a at -53.36/-48.91.
All the sites have log entries that can be scanned and make for interesting reading.
I'm just about to head off on a long voyage across the galaxy, so I thought I'd head out to see the newly discovered Barnacle Forest before I leave.
It's located on Hyades Sector AQ-Y d81 C 2 at 9.2924/-153.9815.
From above it sort of resembles a crop circle.
There are lots of red glowing Scavengers floating about and the Barnacles glow green. Combine that with the swampy mist hanging over the site and it feels quite foreboding.
I was flying out in the general area of the Pleiades and found a destroyed Federation Convoy in the Delphi system.
A Farragut battle cruiser and many other ships. Lots of damage from some sort of corrosive goop. The Thargoids are getting more aggressive.
WP11 is on NGC 6820 Sector PD-S b4-6 7 d a at -51/78.
NGC 6820 was overhead and its red colour contrasted against the icy blue of the planet surface.
From looking at my logs, it appears I arrived here 2 nights before the intended final meetup. The night after I arrived, I left, 1 night before the meetup. I suspect I felt that it wasn't right to participate in just the final meetup after missing all the other ones.
On the way back to the bubble, I became the first commander to discover the Earth-Like World of Chraufao OG-Y b55-1 A 7.
WP10 is on Crescent Sector HR-W d1-28 A 2 at 16.0/-49. The Crescent Nebula was huge in the sky and was the only thing providing light on the otherwise dark surface. My chromed DBX reflected this and almost glowed red itself.
The lack of ambient light really made the dust clouds of our galaxy stand out in the sky.
WP9 is on Lan 111 9 a at 33.6/116.2.
The system is lit by an O-class blue-white star. These stars always add an other-worldly hue to the environment.
The meetup body (9 a) shares a barycenter with 9 b. That body was just barely visible on the horizon when I logged off for the night. When I logged back on the next morning, it had risen.
WP8 is on Blue Flash Sector GW-W c1-0 4 a at -84/75.7. The Blue Flash Nebula was visible when I arrived.
In the other direction, the galaxy was just rising (or setting) on the horizon.
WP7 is on Ring Sector NI-S b4-0 6 a at 67.2/176.7. It's a ringed body and the rings can be seen on the horizon at the meetup site.
This system is the closest it is possible to get to the Ring Nebula.
