The Renaissance Resurgent doing me proud!

It took weeks but my ship, with a jump range of sub 27 lys, has made it to the other side of the Heisenberg Bridge. Right in the heart of the Formidine Rift. I’ve now crossed the rift and made it to The Outer Arm Vacuus region of the galaxy. You can see my galactic map here.

Now I press on heading to the system that I believe is the straight line from Reorte. Even though this has been discounted as an urban myth, the Formidine Rift and what lies beyond is I believe significant in the search to find sentient alien life.

The journey has not been without incident. My hull is at 84% thanks to heat damage from an unfriendly star and an unforeseen collision with an asteroid. Thankfully my auto repair unit is keeping the modules healthy.

Space reconnaissance takes its toll!

When I look back at the galaxy the Heart and Soul nebulae are still distinct. One could say they appear as a gateway, possibly the gateway to other galaxies, maybe which-space? The plan right now is to go as far as 27 lys allows. Then, once I’ve reached as far as I can, maybe I’ll head to the Heart and Soul just to see what I find.

Is the Heart and Soul Nebulae key to finding new galaxies?

For a month, maybe more I've been trying to cross The Rift.  The trail originally blazed by CMDR Heisenberg6626 the famous  Heisenberg bridge, is too far for my ship's 27 ly jump range.  As I entered the rift, using the data from the Children of Raxxla the stars were forever out of reach.  I would fly into dead ends with the next star simply hanging in space mocking me, like it knew it could never be reached.  I considered turning back, but then I looked at my final destination: Hypoae Aescs YE-R d4-2 and I noticed it was surrounded by stars.

With some trial, error, and swearing, lots of swearing, I managed to find a way around the rift.  This journey which I estimate is round 10k lys from my starting point at the beginning of the Heisenberg Rift seems to be coming to an end.  I have around 3.5k lys before I reach it, but I have a good feeling about it.  A bit of a buzz.

I'm not stopping to look at interesting things, I'm just powering through.  What will I find? Aliens hopefully or more specifically an alien bubble, a whole civilisation.  Possibly, we'll find a portal although I'm not sure I believe what the Children of Raxxla believe.
