The Colonia Council, the governing body of the Colonia system, has launched a campaign to expand infrastructure and manufacturing facilities in the region. The initiative is intended to support future colonisation of the Colonia Nebula, and address the needs of the growing Colonia community.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Council elaborated on the nature of the campaign:

“Colonia is expanding rapidly, and with an official colonisation initiative due to start soon, we need to make sure we can meet our citizens' needs.”

“The colony has received a lot of support from the galactic community, but if it's going to become a fully fledged society, we need proper infrastructure.”

In support of this initiative, the Colonia Council has placed an open order for mined Palladium, and has promised to reward pilots who deliver the required material to Jaques Station in the Colonia system.

The campaign begins on the 20th of October 3302 and will run for two weeks. If final targets are met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.

Earlier this month, the Pleiades Resource Enterprise entered Maia and rapidly started cementing its presence in the system. In response, the Ant Hill Mob - Maia's current controlling faction - launched an offensive against the Pleiades Resource Enterprise.

A spokesperson for the Pleiades Resource Enterprise gave a brief statement:

\"The Pleiades Resource Enterprise has every right to establish a presence in Maia. If the Ant Hill Mob wants a fight, it's going to get it.\"

The Pleiades Resource Enterprise has appealed to the galaxy's Federal pilots for help, promising to generously reward those who support their operation.

The campaign will begin on the 27th of October 3302 and will run for one week.

To be eligible for rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Combat Bonds at Maia Point in the Maia system.

The Pleiades Resource Enterprise has set out week-long operation to resist the Ant Hill Mob, but if either side is defeated before the end of the week, the conflict will end immediately.

Please note that crew members will take a percentage cut of combat bonds when they are handed in. This percentage is based on their rank and their cut of the combat bonds will not count towards your community goal contribution.

With the Federation having recently stationed a Farragut-class Battlecruiser at Maia A 3 a, there is speculation that the appearance of the Pleiades Resource Enterprise represents an effort to bring Maia under Federal control.

Walter Waldo, founder of Wonderful Walter's Fish and Coffee Emporium, passed into the black this week.

In honour of one of the galaxy's great entrepreneurs, the Gyvatices Crimson Advanced Holdings, in connection with Walter's family, has organised a special memorial. The organisation has issued an appeal for Fish and Coffee in support of this event, which should be delivered to Walter Dock in the Gyvatices system.

Walter's family released the following statement:

“We are going to celebrate Walter's life with a special fish and coffee festival. He was an avid fisherman, a keen coffee drinker a family man and a philanthropist. We would like the whole of Walter Dock to be part of this memorial.\"

Business leaders in Gyvatices are supporting the appeal by offering above-market prices for both Fish and Coffee at Walter Dock.

Last week, the Alliance deployed a flotilla to the California Sector BA-A E6 system in the California Nebula. The act proved controversial, prompting accusations that the Alliance was attempting to lay claim to the organic structures of the California Sector BA-A E6 system.

In the wake of this development, the Alliance has announced plans to construct a new outpost on California Sector BA-A E6 4. According to an Alliance spokesperson, the station will serve as “a centre for scientific study, supporting our ongoing research into the organic structures and meta-alloys”.

In support of this initiative, the Alliance has placed an open order for Geological Equipment, Hazardous Environment Suits and Pesticides. 160 SOAR, which is coordinating the appeal, has promised to reward pilots who deliver these commodities to Tshang City in the Furuhjelm III-674 system.
