I'm still going towards V1357 Cygni, with a short stop in Crescent Sector GW-W c1-8 (Medusa's Rock) BUT the rest of the route is tdb. I need to be back in the bubble ASAP, as I signed for for Guardian Odyssey with Mobius Exploration Corps. I've never driven SRV outside basic training, never seen guardian site, never interacted with other Commanders outside usual "o7". I'm super excited.

Of course going "just" to Cygnus X-1 was not enough for me. I started to look for neutron stars along the way. Then I plotted a sightseeing course, to see some nebulae:

There's a nice system in the center of Dumbbell Nebula - BD+22 3878. Water worlds and such. I was so stupid and checked out "tourist installation". Pirates shot me down. Oh well. Rebuy. Come back. Good thing I left useless wake scanner in the bubble - slight course changes allowed me to find a black hole and a triple! neutron star system nearby. Sector has been thoroughly mapped a year ago, so nothing original, but still - a nice surprise after those rascals.

Came back, bought myself an Eagle, shot some stuff. Bought new gaming rig IRL. Got sucked into new AAA titles. Coming back to ED now. Cygnus X-1, here I come.

First black hole to my name: Oochosy OD-T e3-0. Going back now - my little sightseeing trip turned out to be much longer than I've originally planned. I'm tired. My ship is battered. I'm almost out of heatsinks. I haven't seen another ship since Hell Port (almost two weeks now). I'm a little scared, amount of exploration data weights on me. I wan't to go back, buy a fighter and kill some stuff.

Around 4kly to go. On my next sightseeing trip I'm going to see Cygnus X-1 black hole.

Yay, a logbook! Long story short:

• flew a few mentor missions
• made a bit of cash on data delivery missions
• did a short (~30) systems "road to riches", made 20 mil
• unlocked first two Engineers
• bought an Asp Explorer, engineered the engine a bit
• went on a trip to V616 Mon - closest known black hole in RW (seen one in Maia earlier, was scared to get close)
• made a huge detour due to closed systems near Witch Head
• got careless at the end - haven't stopped fast enough when jumping to a black hole system, hilarity (heat damage) ensues
• getting there was much more interesting that being there (all I got is a lousy screenshot)
• went to see Marta's Pulsars, stopped in Hell Port to resupply
• going to see big patch of old stars I've discovered by accident (map crawling) - lot's of neutron and white dwarfs
• BTW, boosting off the white dwarf is PITA and is not worth the effort
